The last BIG meeting was held at Daemen College in the
Schenck Science Building. The tiered classroom style of hall facilitated
taking notes. Tina Childress, presented strategies for traveling safely
by cochlear implant users. She spoke of various devices that are available
to assist those staying in hotels when hearing challenged. The social
part of the evening gave opportunities for members and guests to mingle
and exchange ideas. Pizza and home-made deserts were well received. Soon
we should be posting a word-by-word transcript of the meeting for those
who would like to read the discussion.
